Private Sailing Charters in Antigua | Departing Jolly Harbour

We had booked this 6-hour trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Amazing, magical, breathtaking and faultless are overall how we would sum up the whole experience.

Firstly, booking was easy via a phone call and WhatsApp with Stacey, who wanted to make sure that all of our needs were understood and met. As a sailing experience we wanted something more traditional and The Gadabout and her crew do not disappoint. The boat is a traditional beauty and super comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly want and need.

Throughout the day we were treated to the skill, knowledge, hospitality and wonderful conversations with Captain George and his captain’s mate Rasheem. We started our journey at 12pm and after a couple of hours sailing and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Antiguan landscape , we anchored off a beach where we could relax on the sun loungers on deck or pop in the water for a refreshing swim.

We also devoured lunch which was a combination of delicious freshly prepared roti, watermelon and melt-in your mouth feta cheese. Throughout the trip there were snacks on offer and freshly mixed rum punch, Prosecco, beer and soft drinks.

In the afternoon, the plan was to do some snorkelling (snorkels and fins are provided for you) but I changed my mind because I was just enjoying the sailing so much. I was also more than happy with the turtles and flying fish we got to see from the boat!

We rounded off the day with more sailing and Prosecco against the magical backdrop of a beautiful sunset. We loved it all from start to finish and thank you Stacey, George and Rasheem for such an incredible and memorable day.

My wife and I booked this for our honeymoon and had a really great time. George and Raheem were both very nice and knowledgeable about the island. We had a good little lunch on the boat and they made sure our cups were full the whole time. It was a great experience and we would highly recommend!

From start to finish, this was an absolutely amazing experience. From coordinating our ground transportation to getting us to the harbor,food, drinks, the crew, the skipper, it’s a memory that will last a lifetime for me.

We booked it as a alternative to the normal cruise ship excursion, and we’re a little bit tentative based on our short amount of time in port, but the family run business insured we were taken care of.

We have done the tourist trap excursions without trying to do them, and this is the exact opposite.

I cannot recommend them enough.

Our family had an absolutely glorious 8+ hour trip out along the coast of Antigua – just before New Year. The boat was comfortable, Rasheem and Omarrie were super hosts, the snorkelling was great – and the lunch (Chicken Roti) was delicious.

We saw Soufrière Hills – the volcano on Montserrat – gently smoking on the horizon, the sea was super clear where we dropped anchor – and the three of us had – what was probably one of the best days of our holiday on the island (or in this case, just off it!). Gadaboat is a superb small firm for you to charter a yacht from, and I 100% recommend them. Thank you Rasheem and Omarrie for a great day

My wife and I had the most excellent day on Gadaboat with Rasheem and Omarrie. They made us two landlubbers feel very comfortable from the outset and were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed smooth sailing in every sense of the word!

We shared stories and both Rasheem and Omarrie shared their knowledge of Antigua, the sites, food and drink, culture and even some of the celeb compounds we saw including Georgio Armani’s. Lunch was delicious as was Stacy’s already famous rum punch.

We anchored for a swim and snorkel over a nearby wreck from 1905 which was very accessible and enjoyable. Omarrie and Rasheem had a bit of luck and hooked a good sized red snapper with nothing more than a simple lure and drag line. We were all very excited about the catch.

The overall experience was exactly what we hoped for and was a highlight of our trip to Antigua. If you are looking to get out on the water as a couple for the day, you should definitely book with Gadaboat. They are a great outfit, a terrific value and provide lasting happy memories of your time in Antigua.

Six hour trip from Jolly Harbour gently sailing to Carlisle Bay where we snorkelled and had lunch (the home made rotis are superb!) before taking in the sunset on the way back.

Stacey is superb at arranging all your needs for the day (food and drink requirements) in advance and George and Rasheem are the perfect hosts to make your day memorable.

Boutique sailing trips do not get any better than this!

My fiancé and I had an amazing time on the sunset sail on 12/7/24. Captain George and Rasheem made our experience so enjoyable. Even a few rain showers couldn’t rain on our parade.

Stacey was super communicative with details leading up to our booking and available to answer any questions – offering answers before you even think of questions. Everything was timed perfectly, and they knew we’d be ready for a tasty salsa snack after returning from our snorkel swim!

The drinks were flowing and delish. This was worth every penny and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making my fiancés birthday such a memorable experience for us both!

What a spectacular afternoon on the water. George is a fantastic captain and his 2nd mate fabulous!!!

This was our fifth trip out with Captain George and Rasheen, we set sail at 10am for the all day sunset cruise, just my wife Jane and I. We sailed from Jolly Harbour up to Carlisle Bay and moored for a spot of lunch having had rum punch and a few beers on the way.

Lunch was a Roiti made locally with a water melon, feta cheese and mint salad- so refreshing, will be doing that at home ! We then sailed to Hawksbill and back to Jolly Harbour as the sunset.

A fantastic day out again with George and Rasheen and a huge thanks to Stacey for the beautiful lunch !!! See you all next year
